Our Dog Story
As we set-out to build our company, we started searching for a way to effectively communicate who we are and what we are about to the world. Like many young companies, we struggled with how best to accomplish this. The story goes that Jim and Norman were working on a white board discussing the service and the identity dilemma – when, eureka struck…twice. On the white board were lines and arrows and boxes that showed a service or platform that was going out and “fetching” information for the user. What iconic symbol is synonymous with fetching a newspaper? That everyone loves? The Image of the Dog was born. Then, how to name him/her? With a quick play on words reminiscent of 4th grade English, the Dog was named, PAL. Everyone needs a PAL. And the first chapter of our story was born.

Norman Rice - President and CEO
Norman has a strong track record as both a successful entrepreneur and a turn around specialist in the high technology marketplace. Norman has held senior management positions in sales, business development and corporate development for CA (Computer Associates), Concord Communications, Aprisma Management Technologies, HoustonStreet Exchange and MicroStrategy.
Jim Lochran - CTO
Jim has 15 years experience in software design, development and life cycle management. He recently held the position of Executive Advisor at CA, where he worked closely with fortune 1000 CIO's to assist in their IT management strategic planning. Previously he held positions of Senior Product Architect and Product Manager at Aprisma Management Technologies where he led a number of initiatives targeted at the Communication Service Provider market.
Jeff Seligman - CFO
Jeff has over 25 years experience with leading high tech companies, both in emerging and large corporate environments. He served as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Operations at Think Outside, Inc. a provider of handheld computing products based in California. At Compaq Computer Corporation, he led Finance and Operations for the Industry Solutions Division.
Tim Hanson - VP of Sales and Business Development
Tim has over 28 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Tim recently led Cedar Point global sales and service as EVP of Worldwide sales and service. The company was recently named by Inc. 500 as the second fasting growing US Private company Telecommunications company for its revenue growth rate of 14,853% from 2003-2006. Prior to Cedar Point Communications, Tim had been a Partner in the Communications and High Tech unit of Accenture Ltd.
